Volkswagen e Google Lançam Assistente de IA para Veículos

A Volkswagen firmou parceria com o Google para desenvolver um assistente de inteligência artificial voltado para motoristas de veículos da marca, que será disponibilizado através de um aplicativo para smartphones, com previsão de lançamento em 2025.

O novo assistente de IA da Volkswagen permitirá que os motoristas façam perguntas relacionadas ao seu veículo, como "como troco um pneu?", ou utilizem a câmera do celular para capturar informações do painel do veículo.


O assistente utiliza os modelos de linguagem Gemini do Google, que foram treinados com dados provenientes de manuais de veículos da Volkswagen e vídeos no YouTube sobre manutenção. Thomas Kurian, CEO do Google Cloud, destacou as complexidades técnicas envolvidas no desenvolvimento do sistema, que não se resume a uma simples tradução de voz.


O assistente estará disponível gratuitamente para cerca de 120 mil proprietários dos modelos Atlas e Atlas Cross Sport e será estendido a outros veículos de 2020 em diante até o início de 2025.
