ALTIUS: A Arquitetura Aberta para o Campo de Batalha em Evolução

A Area-I apresentou a linha de produtos ALTIUS, um sistema de aeronaves não tripuladas desenvolvido com uma arquitetura aberta e modular, que permite a rápida adaptação a diversas missões militares desde seu lançamento em 2011.

O sistema ALTIUS, criado pela Area-I, revolucionou a forma como as forças armadas utilizam veículos aéreos não tripulados (VANTs) ao ser projetado inicialmente para fornecer vídeo de alta resolução abaixo de uma camada de nuvens. Embora o conceito de 'Air Launched Effect' (ALE) estivesse apenas começando a ser explorado, a Area-I visualizou um potencial muito maior para essa tecnologia.


O CEO da Area-I, Nicholas Alley, e o COO Joshua Steele destacam que a flexibilidade foi a chave para o desenvolvimento dos sistemas ALTIUS. Em vez de criar um produto fixo, eles decidiram adotar uma abordagem modular, permitindo que diferentes cargas úteis e sistemas de controle fossem integrados conforme as necessidades dos clientes, aumentando a versatilidade e a eficácia em campo.
