ByteDance Foca em IA de Vídeo Apesar do Sucesso de Seu Chatbot Doubao

ByteDance, empresa-mãe do TikTok e do seu equivalente chinês Douyin, está aumentando seus investimentos em inteligência artificial generativa (GenAI), conforme indicou seu CEO, Liang Rubo. Em uma comunicação interna, ele afirmou que a empresa pretende continuar expandindo sua vantagem em aplicações-chave de GenAI e reforçar vários campos verticais.


A empresa opera o chatbot Doubao na China e sua versão internacional, Cici, além de diversas ferramentas de vídeo, como o Jimeng AI e o Jianying, que é comercializado como CapCut fora da China. Apesar de o Doubao ter se tornado o chatbot mais popular do país, com cerca de 60 milhões de usuários ativos mensais, a ByteDance considera este mercado uma oportunidade de crescimento mais lento comparado a geradores de vídeo, de acordo com uma reportagem da mídia local 36Kr.


Liang Rubo destacou a importância de fortalecer os esforços exploratórios e estabelecer uma organização voltada para pesquisas de longo prazo em GenAI. O foco em ferramentas de vídeo pode ser atribuído a Kelly Zhang Nan, uma executiva de destaque na empresa, que já foi CEO do Douyin e que agora está concentrando esforços em editores de vídeo.
